A witness on a sexual assault matter was bribed by the accused with $10,000.00 not to testify. He also bribed the Crown who stands to loose more than the $10,000.00 offered if she was to accept the bribe; like her career for instance. The Crown did not accept the bribe but added the Charge of perverting the course of Justice to the proceeding in addition charges related to bribing a Federal Employee. The witness seems to have accepted the offer for a brief moment but was cautioned about being charged for uttering a false statement if she did in addition to perverting the Course of Justice. The trial ensued and the man was convicted since his attempt to bribe the witness and the Court made the allegations more tangible in his efforts, demonstrating a low regard for the Court and the Monarch in addition to the alleged victim. It seems that victim had to shout and say the F word until accused would just get out of her bedroom where she was changing while the assailant was trying to have a conversation about who owns the home or how the home is owned. It was very unusual. The victim's name was Donessa.
