When your economy is facing set backs,. You do something drastic that takes you in the right direction. You could imagine yourself as the King of Burundi or the Congo. You might read the story book about the French and say the people should not feel too satisfied and at the same time, they should not starve, so you provide relatively affordable food...because you are a good King. Yet, we shouldn't care about how people feel in the economy or how they look in the same way we don't mind how people look and feel generally at McDonald's but we don't anyone to feel too sad since this is a Kingdom(The people should look and feel pretty good) and we can ensure everyone has enough to enjoy a minimum dignity. But, then with providing only cheap food and only half the amount provided to the other people in the original story book economies where you also collect less sales tax than that economy, then your less funded economy with less sales tax collected and less income support provided to its citizens is still not recession-proof in response to the reoccurring economic downturns due to the certain reoccurring joblessness caused by automation. The French have electric plugs that are rather different from the plugs provided by the English who have larger plugs just as the English have larger territories to exploit economically and can send money to the French to show honour if following the French story book fiction was about honouring the French. But, it's a fiction. You could follow the French reality today. It's much easier. Maybe you decide that the people are always trodden upon because they have to pay for their food and you do not have to pay for anything. The people pay for you with the taxes paid. But, the taxes can also pay for the people and all of their needs at the right sales tax rate. We could say the sales tax rate is 80% and the income support per citizen in Burundi or the Cote d'Ivoire is £22,000/$22,000.00. Maybe $12,000.00/£12,000.00 will be enough to satisfy the economy's needs in Burundi since it's very warm and you can sleep under a tree with your smart phone and your wife who will make a fire to warm up the KFC and the McDonald's since microwaves and LG washing machines are unnecessary luxuries; right? I'm only kidding. Burundi and the Cote d'Ivoire have the highest sales figures for Mercedes Benz vehicle sales in Africa. The economy is going forward; not backward. At 80% sales tax Burundi would have more money than America in 10 months.

When your economy is facing set backs caused by the collateral joblessness instigated by automation, you do something drastic in terms of calculations that takes you and your restaurant or your economy/territory in the right direction. Maybe you raise sales tax and pay down the national debt while also increasing the income support.       You could imagine yourself as the King of Burundi or the Congo.  You might read the story book about the French and say the people should not feel too strong or satisfied and at  the same time, they should not starve, so you provide relatively affordable food...because you are a good King. Yet, we shouldn't care about how people "feel" in the  economy or how they look in the same way we don't mind how people look and feel generally at McDonald's as customers so long as they can buy the food.   But,  we don't want  anyone to feel too sad since this is a Kingdom(The people should look and feel pretty good)  and we can ensure everyone has enough to enjoy a minimum dignity.

But, then with providing only cheap food and only half the amount provided for the  people in the original story book economies, you also collect less sales tax than that economy, so  then  you are less funded economically with less sales tax collected and less income support provided to its citizens.  You are still not recession-proof in response to the reoccurring  economic downturns that transpire due to the certain reoccurring joblessness caused by automation.

It's much easier.  Their economy works.

Maybe you decide that the people are always trodden upon because they have to pay for their food and you do not have to pay for anything.  The people pay for you with the sales taxes  and other taxes paid daily.  But, the taxes can also pay for the people  and all of their needs at the right sales tax rate. Burundi and the Cote d'Ivoire have the highest sales figures for Mercedes Benz vehicle sales in Africa.   The economy is going forward; not backward.   At 80% sales tax Burundi would have more money than America in 10 months.    America is debt dependent, collecting less than 8%.

In such stark economic times facing new product delivery expectations, there is more and more automation and the personal service touch is now being lost to self service kiosks and machines already at banks, supermarkets and now also at hotels where they offer the kiosks at all hotel locations to assist customers complete their bookings online.   It's not enough to tell the customer they get a discount online.  You can offer them some means  in the form of an on-line computer kiosk for accessing the hotel website online when the customer is travelling and may not have a device fully charged and capable of accessing the internet. If you have no front desk service, it could not be that  you would say the only way the customer can book a room is through his own telephone or tablet.  A kiosk ready and prepped for online bookings and payment just  like what is now available at airports and some hotels is suggested. You need to be accepted maybe but you do not need to be stupid and the old French Story book about the starving people is not what anyone would follow realistically...to be accepted.    You need to follow the French reality to be accepted...not any old story book.  Alexander Dumas wrote many of the stories anyway.  He's black.   France is stronger than all of North America financially; in addition to  the UK. Follow the story book involving the French reality.  The economy should be more like an airline or like McDonald's or a postal service.  It just works.  It has nothing to do with people and how they feel in terms of worth.
