It seems there was an income support in Quebec and Nova Scotia and that was it.  There was some support paid  to some degree in other provinces.  The entire population of Canada seems to have been wiped out with all of the excitement and the opportunity to show their pride in work if not their pride in having money whether or not there was work. In fact, there was little work before the war due to new automation back then and it caused a recession that eventually became a depression. Read about it in the book "Scatter Brain Bookie".     At  Arcachon, He ran into people who lived as undocumented peoples like shipwreck survivors from a story book and who forgot about time itself and who only found a way to steal the gear of his solders and then they offered the gear back to the Chief if he would like to buy his own knapsack back for 100 Francsl combien ou Argent?  How can you go in to a place if you do not know how to get out?  This is true.  How do you pick up a pizza from a restaurant if you do not know the person who made it; from Adam?  How does UBER deliver you Nutella, oranges and bread if you do not know the delivery person and how they could like your groceries? How do you order a  cup of coffee in an open cup when you don't see what happened to the coach's teeth when travelling through America? So, get the bottle or the canned coffee. ITs up to you.  IF you get the cup, stand at the counter and wait for your order but what if someone gives you a cup already laced with drano or they drop a drano pill in the cup when you are not.....PAYING ATTENTION?  PAY ATTENTION. Did you order a pint of lager?  Stand at the counter and watch them pour or ask for a can or bottle. They will give you a glass if you need one. Some old people have their teeth, their everything.     How can the wolf enjoy the ass of the female deer if he does not have teeth?  How do you go into a VRBO and not pay since you want to say it should be about family and then the government automated security confirms that although it is listed on VRBO, it is also housing and so you get a terrorist conviction for trespass if you do not pay or you do not leave?  Some have not left and they have 40 convictions over 40 days with one conviction a day.  After 40 days and 40 nights, usually you get good things happening in the bible; at least.   You should pay.    The hotel room; where is your watch, your bag or those shoes? Back to our story; The Arcachon scavengers were covered by Christopher Columbus; the 7th who had a ship wreck on the Arcachon coast in the 1500's and who then decided that the only way our was to go further in and then he took Bordeaux and made himself Louis; 14th, 15th, 16th, 17th and the 18th.  The last real Louis was Louis the 13th. He made a deal with the people and promised them MORE.  Louis took off and set up other governments and then decided to make France his merciful battle ground where he would deal with those who would like to argue. He wrote Rousseau's political writings and also set up a form of government that would hear the people and also pay them enough money to satisfy all of their essential needs; and more. Christopher the 7th lost but his ways and his anthropology still resound; finding his way back to France to finish the job.  See the boy named Elevees; a car thief and a brigand boy who you should not trust to hand you a cup of coffee no matter how miniature and innocent he may appear since all he does is open the customer's  bank card envelopes as a bank employee (now former) and go to shop like a mad anthropology and this is what is going on.   

But, as you know there is no Louis the 18th and the notion just spells out an air of illegality.  Oh well.  The Chief is still alive today in Bordeaux and is running a Boulangerie. It was his idea to put cement powder on the bread and varnish to ensure you go the dentist and clean your teeth but really, it was a way to prevent theft of bread. But, the cement and varnish kills anyone.  The other issue is that it forestalls sales of the bread. But, if the bread cleaned your teeth, wouldn't people buy more?  They will also buy more chocolat' if it cleans your teeth.   This is good; we say yes. It is good.
