A new Canada Casual Job and Works programme is being proposed to enable more efficient training and also selection for the more full time roles across the country. It's an informal process that is truly for information about the jobs and also about qualification. You may be called to travel as public security on domestic passenger jet flights or on VIA Rail after 3 months of "seeing how you do" trials and training. A biometric hand print may be involved but no one is denied work in the casual programme. This is not a Customs Officer job but if you do well, you could be called on for vacation relief in the Customs Officer/ Border Force roles if you pass the biometric test.
