Customer Reports by Angel Ronin: We have a customer who has an account at Tangerine/ING Bank now run by Scotia Bank in Canada. He called the other day to follow up on an RRSP investment with a small bank balance in a regular account. He wanted to update his address and get a new card. They asked to do a credit check although he has the account number and all other customer information. Since he is not opening an account, he should have to do a soft credit check. The kid or child on the phone decided to just hang up and is no longer working at the bank. The balance on account is not more than $70.00. This is certainly not what we expect of customer service. He was also charged with theft for a misuse of the bank's time and energy.
