A double minded man is not the architect. The architect of the landscape is decisive. But the architect of the sociocultural landscape involving the benefits might be a little double minded. He is white but carries the angers and vendettas of the Brown man; Inuit Ojibwe. This just in; a white woman in a Walmart store was followed by two Indian store employees and two store security staff that asked her to leave when she was attempting to shop for personal items in the store, using a store cart. She had placed some items in a knapsack before purchasing them but these are shopping bags. She was reasonably well dressed and had recently showered in the condo building next door. Her shoes not old and tattered or forlorn. She was not a local resident but from Lake Erie. She came here to tell us that the water is not right in Erie. Did you, from Mississauga drive to Lake Erie to drop rat poison boxes in Lake Erie? Anyway, why did the staff presume she was shoplifting and not shopping? she was apprehended with only one item in a bag; nothing else. She was not searched but asked to leave when she was near the food and grocery aisle or the paper towel aisle. She did not attempt to leave the store without paying. She was asked to leave in the midst of shopping. So what is the issue? The issue is that the store and the security guards are fired since, without reasonable and probable grounds, violated her Section 10 Charter rights. They searched her bag and withdrew the items she was hoping to purchase in furtherance of her essential societal role as a consumer. Did they racially profile her as a lousy Red headed Canadian? She was also assaulted since what happened exceeds the mandate of store staff and security contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. There is no license or permission under any law for a Security Guard to touch you or your property physically. One guard touched her back. The store staff in plain clothes touched her shopping bags and grabbed the one or two items and other store staff and the manager called the police on the security guards and these two vigilante individuals who are working with the security staff privately but not hired by the guard company; nor the store. There can be no theft or allegation of theft until the alleged thief has made it evident that they are leaving the store premises with no intention to pay for store items (unpaid for at that store or any store) in their possession.
