When I was a kid, you could find a glass pop bottle or beer bottle on the ground ans return it for the 5¢ bottle return fee at the shop. You did not have to be the purchaser. Then, as I got a little older I ran into people at the shops who would want to ask you where you got it and if you had a receipt? The real issue is that the bottle return program is to encourage recycling. Even if you could present a receipt for every bottle you had, it's not practical and business restrictive. Today the program still exists but I want to know where those weird people went who would ask for a receipt and who might call the cops on you if you argue? Are they dead; because they should be? It's illegal and also rather difficult; not proper. Do you know anyone like that? It seems that what she did is intimidated you to just leave the bottles on the counter and then she would cash in your bottles for her own benefit. She was caught on camera as a dirty thief who ate a.... in the bathroom again with syrup on it and then she flushes. Where is she now?
