These new  cards appearing below will be issued by the end of July and will carry a default daily benefit of  $357.14 per day.  To work in anyway as a generic card, you call a 1-800 number to active it by typing in the last 4 digits of the card number and the last three digits of your social insurance number or you go to the Service Canada website to activate it.  That is the first step for it to work. They will be mailed. They will be available at Service Canada, at City Halls and at Libraries or at any NHS surgery in the UK from 9 am to 5 pm.  
  10. Before the cards are made available or arrive by mail, the new benefits amount will be paid to your bank account tonight or on July 28th. Every month has a 28th  day and to pay on the 28th reduces the amount of manual thought involved switching from the 29th to the 28th once a year. 
  11. Then you can set it up online or in the App with email and address so you can get your statement of activity. You can use it to pay your phone and cable bill also and also order UBER and hotel stays.  
  12. Once set up with the App, you can receive the whole weekly benefit  of $2500 paid weekly at your bank account or receive a portion on the card for daily payment, weekly or monthly on the card. 
  13. So you can get $700 per week on the card or $100 per day and then you get in that case $1800 per week on the card.  Once you use the app, your current Ontario  or Scotian $2500 per month will end; or the province may choose to still pay you a similar amount under S.91 and s.92 powers. The general income support benefit is under Federal mandate and must be paid to all who are eligible  to work and live in Canada.
  14.  It must be paid to the people in Peel and Kingston; Toronto also.  The idea of cancelling it was a crime and contrary to Federal mandate. The province may still pay a separate provincial benefit that reflects the local Provincial government's emotions such as a super cold weather survivor compensation benefit or Saskatchewan flood, draught or famine benefit; at possibly an extra $500.00 per month; maybe $2700.00 per month.  There could be an Ontario Water contamination benefit so you can afford emergency bottle water or emergency beer.

But if you were 13 in 1987, you would have received the benefits.  Also let's say you were in York in 1998 and did not get the benefit but everyone else did. What is the quantum of the arrears for these individuals?  The system will confirm the amount and work out a payment schedule concluding how long it takes to pay down the arrears. In the Peel case, the answer is...$1,140,000.00.  To pay that down over 50 years, the arrears add on will be $1190.00 per month. If you prefer, the system can pay instead the lump sum owed also. There is no debate on the payment of arrears. Every citizen is expected and entitled get the benefits from 13 years old.

Finally if you have  no card, the banks will provide you $150.00  on demand if you audibly state your health card province or state ( UK, Jamaica or Australia or New Zealand) and confirm that you have been mugged and are  presently indigent.  If you can say that with evidence of a police report, they will help. Who would fail to help at the bank if  you can say  that? You are not mugged if you have no police report. With the police report, the hotels and motels are obligated to help you with  a reservation. Can the police help someone with no ID who has been mugged? Yes they can.
