The Ultimate Reason Why.....

The real reason  why the economy has not been solved in the English world is because leadership of the masses has followed a Slavic current of mass leadership;  of field slave leadership where majority of the population on a plantation would be the slaves and risk the educated and free were the minority. We are looking at a field slave that became a pirate of the Titanic.  This DNA was investigated to see just what happened on the ship.  This DNA is now making decisions. Yet the DNA is anxious about competitive worth if everyone truly had enough money from benefits.   I am a real Norwegian and half real Celt Gaelic.   I am not anxious. I am happy when everyone has enough money for their daily dignity needs. Aren't you happy whatever you may be?   Aren't you happy as a Black Hawk or Navajo?

It became known as Louisiana politics.  He cut the tires of the other police officers vehicles if they just joined the platoon to ensure they know his place as more than them if it's a Ford or GM.

When society envisions a future where traditional human labor is minimized or eliminated—whether through automation, advanced technology, or post-scarcity economic models—it forces us to re-evaluate how human worth, power dynamics, and historical hardship interact.

1. Superiority Without Work: The Shift in Social Hierarchy

If traditional work were no longer necessary or required, status hierarchies would not simply disappear; instead, the grounds for inequality and perceived superiority would shift.

  • Historical Precedent: Historically, elite classes (such as nobility or landed aristocrats) often defined their superiority precisely by their freedom from physical labor. Manual labor was frequently viewed as degrading, while leisure, intellectual pursuits, governance, and cultural patronage were elevated as superior.
  • Modern Social Markers: In a workless or automated society, individuals might claim superiority based on other forms of capital:
    • Ownership & Access: Who owns the technology, resources, infrastructure, or land.
    • Social & Cultural Capital: Influence, prestige, creative output, political power, or access to exclusive experiences and spaces.
    • Exclusivity: If basic goods are free, value shifts entirely to non-reproducible assets—such as rare locations, physical heritage, or social status.

Without active effort to ensure equitable distribution, a society without work could easily create a sharp divide between those who control the systems and those who merely subsist on them.

2. The Experience of Labor: Choice vs. Coercion

To address whether privileged groups or future generations could ever know "the pain of work as known by ex-slaves," it is essential to distinguish between voluntary effort and coercive, dehumanizing labor.

  • The Unique Nature of Chattel Slavery: The labor endured by enslaved people was defined not merely by physical exhaustion, but by absolute coercion, complete denial of bodily autonomy, systemic cruelty, legal dehumanization, and the total extraction of personal freedom and generational wealth.
  • Voluntary vs. Involuntary Struggle: Even if future elites or individuals engage in intense physical, mental, or disciplined tasks (such as extreme sports, complex creative projects, or rigorous training), this effort is chosen freely. Chosen struggle carries purpose and autonomy; coerced labor carries trauma, oppression, and deprivation.
  • Systemic Empathy Gap: A group that has never experienced systemic exploitation or survival-level economic pressure cannot naturally simulate or fully embody the historical trauma of coerced labor simply through voluntary effort or hardship.

3. Empathy, Historical Memory, and Social Policy

Whether a society can bridge this gap in understanding depends on how it manages its historical memory and social structures:

  • Systemic Reflection: Without conscious education, institutional memory, and deliberate policy to prevent concentration of power, privileged classes often remain insulated from the historical realities of forced labor and economic oppression.
  • Designing Equitable Systems: Discussions around post-work futures (such as Universal Basic Income, public ownership of automation, or social dividend models) often focus on preventing the re-emergence of rigid class structures where a minority holds ultimate control while the majority remains dependent.

How do you view this dynamic unfolding? Are you thinking about this primarily through the lens of economic policy, historical philosophy, or human psychology in an automated future?
