In the age of automation with a universal minimum income support to ensure our markets and underwrite as well as inoculate our populations from the effects of automation, more labor intensive but environmentally friendly use of materials for food packaging will benefit countries and people while being more cost effective in the end with less clean up costs required. This relates to the use of plastics when glass bottles and packaging is preferred with less environmental cost and damage generally. It may appear cheaper to use plastic in the short run but the cost of clean up and pcb damage in spite of our best efforts with recycling demonstrate that less toxic reusable glass materials for foods and drink packaging where possible is ideal. It will also create jobs; just as many jobs as the clean up of waste plastic materials from oceans but evidently there is less damage to the planet with glass as current evidence has demonstrated in numerous recent campaigns. In other words, with a committed change to less hazardous packaging such as glass, you can create jobs in the positive instead of jobs created in the negative only to clean up toxic plastic packaging waste. Tall metal cans for milk is a suggestion. 1L tall soda or Ice Tea cans for milk would be cost effective. Metal and Glass packaging is preferred going forward into our great automation future with many new technologies, preserving life and community. We dont mind work that is worth an ounce of prevention vs. Jobs that involve A pound of hazardous clean up. Warren A. Lyon.
