This just in; The Law Society of Canada, in its Truth and Reconciliation Report on the Law Society of Upper Canada, has issued an apology to Mr. Warren A. Lyon and others for that society's rampant, repeated and ridiculous attacks on the formally educated members of the bar. The Law Society of Upper Canada was also closed and no longer exists for embarrassing the country and for its Contempt of Court. It was closed and renamed. ____________________________________________ They confirm as noted that Mr. Lyon did nothing wrong. He was entitled to hire people to assist in managing files at any time in compliance with guidelines; and this is what he did. This was never a breach of the rules. The rules for managing a practice in some circumstances of administration require you to not only manage the practice but hire people as assistant counsel when necessary. Warren has phone calls in evidence where he sought to hire people pursuant to the rules. People were hired to attend Court and they were paid. We even have a letter from the Law Society( the former society) that confirms we were in good standing. I am glad they sent it. It was just to get the files returned. It was a great honor to see Warren hire people. We are still open. We are a firm and under the part V rules, we can assist with MVA and personal injury matters, certain criminal law matters and lots of human rights matters. We can assist with all traffic, provincial offences and Drivers Insurance matters. This is great for Warren who can come to Court with you and write the appeal. We can also consult on any matter.
